Monthly Grocery Rations Kit Drive, India during COVID-19

WHO has recognised a massive increase in poverty due to Covid19. Unexpected and unannounced lockdowns have directly hit daily breadwinners, especially in developing countries.

In a continuing program, ALHF USA has distributed ration kits, in association with Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council, New Delhi to beneficiaries in Gwalior, Dabra, Datia and Jhansi in Madhya Pradesh.

Oxygen Cans and Vitamins during COVID-19

When the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic created havoc in India, the international community responded. Not to be left behind, ALHF USA also pitched in with providing emergency Oxygen cans, Ration kits for the needy ones and vitamins to boost immunity. A host of volunteers coordinated aid to those in need.

ALHF USA distributed the Oxygen cans to Covid-19 Care centres in Alwar district, Rajasthan, Ranchi and its outskirts in Jharkhand, Ludhiana, outskirts of Chandigarh, Faridkot and Ferozepur in Punjab through local non-governmental organisations, activists and small hospitals.

These cans placed in the small ambulances have come as a boon.

Essential vitamins for post-recovery patients of Covid-19 enables them to build strength and immunity. In consultation with doctors, supplementary vitamins were made available to patients.

Oxygen Concentrators during COVID-19

ALHF USA has received 5 Oxygen Concentrators courtesy India Global Business Chambers of New Zealand, to build infrastructure for a possible much-talked-of third-wave in India.

Assisting Dialysis Centre, Amritsar

To meet the growing incidence of Type 2 Diabetes leading to Dialysis, Rotary International in association with K D Hospital, Amritsar is running a Dialysis project for patients at affordable 80% discounted prices for the patients.

ALHF USA has sponsored a critical portion of the expenses for setting up and running of the Dialysis unit. Dialysis services are given to the patient at an 80% discount rate to the needy patients. Satisfied patients and their families have expressed gratitude to all bodies who have teamed up to make this possible.
